DECK & PORCH PROJECTS:
Beautiful and Spacious Two-tone Composite Deck
Gorgeous new spacious deck for Mr and Mrs H in Two Rivers – perfect for relaxing and entertaining in their secluded backyard.
Grey Owl Construction created a custom deck structure that checked off everything on the homeowner’s must-have list and perfectly fits in with their existing landscaping and mature cedar trees. Custom deck features include an attractive two-tone contrasting look with “picture frame” boards on outer edge of decking, seating, balusters, and steps, a dedicated dining area, traditional look functional cafe top/drink rails, hardwired post cap lighting, easy access entrance to the house and steps to the backyard, and built-in below-deck storage. Fun fact: after kicking around a couple of different layouts, McLean ultimately ended up relying on an aerial view (Google Earth/Google Maps view) of the backyard to plot out the 3D design for the deck’s final footprint.
Braun Building Center supplied all construction materials –
TimberTech Composite Decking and Skirting – Pro Reserve with a low-gloss cathedral wood grain pattern in a richly warm Antique Leather for the main area. Deck is “picture framed” in a bold Mocha along with a drink rail, seating accent, and steps. Rails and posts are Trex Transcend in white with post cap and riser lights. Trex balusters were done in Kona (color), and skirt boards are completed with Palight Trimboard in white.
The deck was electrically hardwired underneath for planned greenhouse in the future.
